SE Montana-last tag of the year

Headed to Custer National Forrest area (outside broadus) tomorrow. 5 days the hunt. Bringing the season to a close for us. Oregon (resident), Idaho, and now Montana. Can’t wait. Any suggestions from anyone as far as food, hunting, things to check out on the way there or back is appreciated. I’ve got some areas marked and we’re ready to burn some leather. Only bummer is the weather report seems a bit warm out there for our stay. Thanks for all the help this year guys!

Didn't hunt in the forest but not too far. So no advice for that chunk but drove through and looked like awesome country. The deer should be rutting hard right now.

I am planning my first western mule deer hunt with bow next year.
I too was thinking of this area.

Hunting rifle. But did get a new Reign 7 this year. Plan on dipping my toes in 2018.
