I hunted unit 46 from Nov. 4-12 this year, and wanted to shed some light for any one interested. I packed in everyday from a trailhead, glassed a ton of country, and walked plenty of miles. Long story short, I saw a fawn the very first day and that was it. I focused on open meadows, and waist-high cover mainly, but couldn't turn anything up - including tracks (fresh snow) and scat. I assume they must have pushed into the dark timber, but wasn't sure of how to hunt it. I hope this helps anyone considering the unit, and feel free to PM me if you have questions.
