I have read several articles about low mule deer numbers in the northeastern area of Wyoming. I also spoke with a friend who lives in the Hulett area and he said that he has seen low numbers also. Is anyone else hearing the same thing? Having hunted that area in high number years, I’m not sure if I will go out this year as I have been spoiled in years past.

I live in the northeast part and see so many good mule deer that it's hard to believe they are in any decline, but I'm no biologist. Most of the ones I see are not on public land though.

4rcgoat, that’s good to hear. I tend to hunt several local public areas and several larger BLM pieces that always hold some good mule deer. Seeing nice mule deer next to the areas I hunt gives me hope that a nice one will make their way onto my side.
