I drew the late rifle and haven’t hunted the unit before, but I do have a few people who’ve spent time in the unit. I have at least 4 scouting trips planned, but there’s a lot of country to cover. Obviously I’ve been looking at the monitor range, but the toquima range has caught my eye as well. It looks like there is a lot of good looking drainages in there.
All I ever hear about in the area is the monitors which makes me want to get into a different area to avoid people.
Does anyone have experience in both of these ranges? Definitely not looking for spots or top secret info, just general opinions about your hunt went.
