Thank you everyone for your helpful posts. Here is what I purchased and some pictures of my setup.

Only issue I have is there isn't enough travel in my peep sight. I either need some taller bases or to lower my front site. Taller bases will be the easier solution.

Here is a costs breakdown and some pictures from my first outing. I was testing different bullets and working with the sight, so my grouping isn't indicative of what the gun can do.

Next time out I will work on accuracy and the volume of BH209. I went with 100 grains this time just to shoot the gun and get the sight close. Without a scope is it best to start close at say 50 yards and just do 2 shot groups to see which load works the best? @95, @100, @105?

**Update for those ordering look at midway usa and the Colorado version ($912-$935), it should have the front sight, holes drilled for mounting scope bases and it comes with the Red Plastic Jacket primer ignition system. Would have saved me order the RPJ conversion kit.

Awesome looking setup, this is what I plan to put on my ultralight when I finally get around to doing it. Are you sticking with the warne bases in a taller height or switching to different bases?

The Hornady FPB had to be sized to fit my ultralight, did you have to size yours?

I not sure what the best option is. If I can find taller basses I will go that route. Not a lot of options out there that I can find.

I read that today when looking for reviews on them. I didn't have an issue at all. I used the spinjag ball starter and after that not bad. Good snug fit. But I have nothing to compare this against since this was my first time ever.

I like the price of the bullets but read a couple of mixed reviews. Not sure if I will pay more for the Thor or use these. Or I may test both next time.

Thank you YouTube for the how to lessons.

I hope it helps someone. I was lost when I started looking. Knight should be giving Robbie and Sabbotloader a kick back.

It was a toss up between this and the mountaineer. I talked with a guy at knight quite a bit and he convinced me the ultra lite was the right way to go.

I'm going to order some new bases to see if they are taller. I'm having issues getting anyone to confirm that they are actually taller.

I have a feeling these will be the same eight just steel vs aluminum but for the price I'm not going to risk just order one.

You wont regret buying the Ultra lite . Sabotloader guided me into buying one 2 years ago ,I really like mine ,It shoots good groups at 100 yards and that's good enough for me .. Stick with lead/ copper bullets 300 gr and above until Mike finds something better ,Hes testing some
copper and brass stuff this year,, Look up some of his old posts [ Mike ] aka Sabotloader he has some front sight heights that he uses ,,

Thanks guys. I believe the williams gun sight (Mfr Part: 1690) is what Sabotloader suggested -

http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/sights/sight-parts/ramps/22-screw-on-streamlined-ramp-prod16151.aspx

It looks like it is just a little shorter than the marble arms I got and could make up the difference .095 to .1 height.

MuleyFever - Where were you when I was ordering! lol, the simplest solution would be exactly what you suggested. If my new bases don't work I will order the shims. Thank you for posting the idea.

Bases Update - The Leupold set came in yesterday. LINK (Leupold #: 56503)

I'm confident this height gain will get me where I want to be at the range.

I took the gun out today and the new bases worked perfectly. I stuck with 100 grains of 209 and tested the two bullets I had with very different results.

This was at 100 yards. I'm very happy with the results of the Thor. I'm not sure if the FPB would be fine at a different powder or not.

The Thor bullet shoots so well ,,But my disappointment with them is real ,,If I could I would resize some Hornady FPB 300 or higher and use them from my testing using milk jugs with water in them ,,

the price is right on the FPB bullets. I used them to sight in my gun. The Thor were just so impressive I hope they perform well on game.

I'm really curious how well they would do with a scope at 200 and 300 yards.

I shot both from 90-110, I ended up going with 110 and thors.

This new hobby is really making me want to buy a chrono to see what exactly how fast I'm pushing the THOR and if I'm consistent. Did you notice a change in accuracy with more powder or just pushing it a little faster?
