Staying on course here with my cardio and pack training.
Don't forget that you are supporting the elk we love to chase by getting on board with the MTN OPS Elk Shape project!
Thanks RMEF!

It's not easy for me to work out after work, I work construction and use a lot of energy.
Yeti is certainly making it easier!
Still running 4-5 days a week along with weekend pack/weight hikes.
I've got less than 7 weeks before I leave for my first hunt!!

Well I had another slight setback this weekend. I was moving some furniture and hurt my lower back. I haven't been able to train at all for the last 4 days but I plan to hike a little tomorrow morning to see how it feels.

A few days of resting and my back is feeling much better! I knocked another 20 seconds off my time this morning. I'm really feeling a lot better as I settle into a routine. My favorite meal of the day is whole milk with vanilla Ammo and berry Enduro. It's absolutely awesome.

Good to hear the back is better Justin!
Good idea with adding Enduro to the Ammo/milk! I'll be trying it today...
B-fast today is vanilla Ammo mixed in with oats.

Is it September yet?! Temps have been in the 90s here and the humidity is high, it feels like August already. The Enduro is proving to be an asset for me to get through my work day and still have the energy to work out in the afternoon when I get home.

My schedule for the Elkshape products
Ammo and Magnum first thing in the morning. Renu tablets with protein. (I get up at 4:30am)
Enduro late morning or lunch time.
Yeti 30 minutes prior to workouts. Typically late afternoon or early evening.
Blaze when I feel I need it.

I will be in Elkshape, no excuses.

Still making progress. This was my fastest time up Mt Peak so far this summer. The hike is in the trees so the gps doesn't track distance perfectly but it's a one mile hike with almost 1100 ft of elevation gain.

What a whirl wind week! I just found out I drew an AZ early archery deer tag! Now I'm leaving in two weeks!!

This is when all the hard work pays off. I've been training hard and am ready for this season!

I've been experimenting with combinations of Ammo and Magnum in different flavors. The chocolate Ammo and vanilla Magnum together are my new favorite.

I'm still moving in the right direction. I was at exactly 177lbs this morning and feel great! This year I will be the most physically prepared that I've been in probably the last ten.

I leave for my first hunt in less than a week and my body and mind are ready! This Elk Shape program certainly helped me get where I wanted to be and the Ammo is now a staple in my diet!
I will be driving out to AZ first then WY and finally MT. I have a deer and elk tag in each state but will most likely save the MT deer tag for the rut and another trip out.
This will be a long rd trip, I plan all year for this.
IT IS GO TIME! Thanks MTN OPS!
