You got lucky I got volunteered for that same position but in 2 half marathons. I figured out I still hate running for fun.

That would be brutal! Your in far better shape than I am to complete those types of runs!

I'm not a runner at all, but she really wanted to complete a 5k and doesn't feel comfortable doing it by herself. So instead of hating the process I'm simply viewing it as a different preparation for elk season. I figure by the time the actual 5k race gets here (July 4th) I'll have already ran multiple of them and it's just another run.

I'm trying to view it that way, but it's so monotonous. First event is this Sunday. Ran 10 miles last Friday and it straight sucked.

4.5 miles and 500-ish feet of gain with a 75 lb pack- Tiny Elvis refuses to wear a pack! :D

this marks the end of my pack testing; it's going to work just fine for hauling meat out- I'll continue to use the sand bags on occasion for training, but 45 lbs will be plenty for training

Trying to get ready for the start of the guiding season so haven't had much time to spend on the computer. To catch up

Friday had a ton of meetings, managed to fit in a quick DT, 5 rounds of 12 deadlifts, 9 hang cleans, and 6 push jerks with 155 lbs
Saturday went shed hunting with a 40 lb bag of feed, covered 6.8 km according the GPS and didn't find a damn thing
Sunday - rest day
Monday - dumbell bench press 5 x 5 with dumbell rows in between sets, incline dumbell bench 5x5 with 10 pull ups in between those sets, tried to finish with 3 sets 8 of handstand push ups but my shoulders folded like a cheap, green tent half way through the second set and had trouble even getting back up

Wendler week 17: squats 3/3/3+(5)/10@70%, bench 3/3/3+(5)/10@70%, pullups 3x11, dips 3x35, core

the 3+ sets were a little on the tough side, but managed to get 5 reps for each which I'll gladly take :)

4 Pull ups

Increase reps by 2 each round. This was a sneaky little WOD the first few round went quick then it got nasty.
