Hello all,
Anyone compare maven b.2's in 11x45 to Swarovski el 10x42 or vortex razor 10x42? I sold my Swarovskis to save some money and ordered maven 11x45's. how disappointed will I be? Thanks for any opinions.

I have. Imo you won't be disappointed at all. I love my 11x45s. Hunting partner has the swaros. We both agree that the mavens are great.

We just did this last weekend had the swaro 10x42 maven 11x45 b2 and the razor 10x42 all side by side. Swarovski was the clearest and just clear defined lines. Close second was the maven with the swaro being better at contrast colors. And third was the razors not a bad optic but if I’m gonna spend $1,000 I’m buying mavens over the razors

I owned the Swarovski's both 8,5 and 10x42 SV EL as well as the Swaro 10x50 SV EL along side the Maven B2 9x45. My nephews FIL has the 11x45 B2. Long story short is that I doubt you will be disappointed.

My Swaros I had where the older EL 10x42 with Swarobright so I cant really compare. But I just got my Mavens 11x45 last week and Im am completely impressed. Im no optic expert but these are the best clearest, brightest set of Binos Ive ever owned. Edge to edge is beautiful and crisp.
See the Signature :D

My only complaint about Maven is they look like they are 10-20% bigger than other binos of the same size. Anyone else notice this?

Yes the Maven B2 is a long binocular. It is bigger than the 42 mm glass for a couple of reasons. First is that as you increase objective diameter you are forced to lengthen the binocular. The second is the B2 uses the Abbe Koening prism system, which requires more length as this is different from the more common Schmidt-Pechan system., The AK bends the light one less time and usually the AK prism is 3-5% brighter than the SP types. So the B2 is longer than the Swaro SV 8.5x43 and about the same as the Swaro SV 10x50.
