I picked one up to help the wife get a steady rest. There were a few instances this season where a shooting aide would have been very handy.

Not sure why they list the weight of the entire package. Unopened box of the carbon model I picked up is 5#11oz.

After removing the ball head, it is just under 4# at 3#15.2oz Removing the second arm but keeping the aluminum mounting bracket drops another 8 oz (see pic #1).

Overall I think it's a slick little system. We'll see how the setup goes in a pressure situation!

Can anyone recommend a tripod head that would work well with the cabela's krotos 20-60x86 spotting scope (3.8lbs)?

Just got my befree panhead in and there is a gap between the tripod head and base ... should I try to find a washer to fill the gap or look for a different head?

Thanks
Post up a picture. Are you saying that the tripod stud is too long to fit all the way in the head?
