If you buy used Swarovski optics, make sure you have the person you buy them from notify Swarovski of the sale and transfer the serial number to your account. It only takes a phone call.
I didn't know this was required until I sent in my spotter recently which I bought used. The guy I bought it from didn't register it but unknown to him, the guy before him did. We had to get a hold of the original owner and have him call it in before Swarovski customer service could do the work I asked for and send it back.
It ended up not being a big deal, but it could have been a major pain if I wasn't able to get in touch with the original owner.
