I have a chance to buy a pair of swaro el 10x42 in prestige condition. Going by the serial number they were made in 2011. What is the difference between today's el and the ones in 2011? They are practically new.

Nothing has changed optically in the EL line since 2010. They introduced the "field pro package" on the EL's in 2015, which is just updated armoring and harness attachment points.
