Looking for a scope for my new coyote gun.
24 inch heavy barrel .243..
looking to keep it under 450 ish...
a couple of different options i've been looking at in that range are the nikon monarch 3 with a kenton turret, vx3i with CDS ( i have a vx3 3.5-10 CDS on my tikka that I have been super happy with), or on the far lower end of the pricing a vortex diamondback HP with a kenton turret.
I usually muzzy or archery hunt, so I am not that extremely versed on whats new and hot with rifle scopes.
Uses for this scope are going to be plinking, and coyotes out around 4-500.
Anything else i should be considering?
Thanks

I wouldn't worry so much about turrets, for most coyote hunting, you wont have time to dial for long shots. I would recommend getting a scope with an excellent ballistic reticle, with multiple holdover hash marks, and possibly a windage tree. Then it's just a matter of practice and you are slaying them.
