I bought one off eBay with the 20-60 eyepiece for 1300 but that was a smokin deal I would agree with hatchet jack on the 1600-1700

Do you guys know why they stopped making the STM? Would you say the STM is better than an STS? And its a STM not an ATM

The ATM and stm are lighter than the ats and sts the body of the scope was made of magnesium which made them lighter but don't know why they quit I've got an ATM hd and love it it's a nice scope you won't be disappointed

ATM/STM HD are optically identical to the new ATS/STS, but a few ounces lighter due to the magnesium body. Swaro did away with the ATM/STM when they introduced the ATX/STX line. My guess is they did away with the ATM/STM because magnesium costs more than aluminum, and the ATX/STX is already heavier, so they don't want to compete with the flagship model.

I agree with $1800-2000 for the HD with the 25-50 eyepiece.

I have the ATM 20-60x65. Is it worth the cost and weight to upgrade to the ATX which is about 2.5lbs heavier with the 95x? I mostly hunt out of a backpack.

Thanks Corey

Not at all...keep the atm, but an upgrade to the 25-50 wide angle isn't a bad call.

Thanks. I've decided to keep the atm for my everyday spotter as its light weight and very functional in the field.
