Just wanted to say hello to all the forum members and introduce myself.
I have been searching on the site for several years and decided to finally log in and post up. I used to hunt here in Northern California and did quite a bit of fishing. But I took 10 years off from outdoor activity to research and write a book, and now am back in the field, and have had great Whitetail hunts up in Idaho (8A) the past few years.
I live in Napa and have worked as a Police Officer/Detective down in the Bay Area for the last 24 years. In 137 days I am packing up my wife, guns, ammo, and my Springer, and retiring in Montana. I hope to make up for a lot of lost hunting and fishing, (and enjoy my retirement).
I wanted to thank all the members for their information and sharing of experience, it has been very helpful.
