Been out west lots of times growing up, but never had a chance to hunt. I grew up coming from a family of farmers and have been blessed to grow up pheasant and bowhunting big Iowa whitetails. I was a teacher early in my adult life, which was great for summers off, but BAD for hunting and hunting trips in general. Fast forward to now, and I am in banking and have more time to hunt, which is great. I now want to head west and hunt elk and mulies. Found this forum through another one online and decided to join. Look forward to meeting members and hopefully find a mentor to help in hunting out west. I am tired of sitting in a tree stand every year and really want to learn the art of spot and stalk and scouting out west.
