Howdy all. Live in Idaho and been hunting for about 5 years though I've been into shooting for decades.
First 3 years were birds and upland game. 2016 I decided to try deer. Borrowed a bolt rifle from a friend and killed a buck. Lots of reading, some hiking and dumb luck. 2017 I put in for Wyoming Antelope, Idaho deer, elk, and antelope.
Spent much of the summer in the hospital where I found out I drew Idaho deer and Wyoming Antelope. I had my goal. Get better and recover enough strength to get out and hunt in October and November.
July 20th I came home with a walker. October went on antelope hunt with a friend. He helped me carry the quarters to the truck. Hunted deer with my son in October and elk with friends in November. Went on my late season deer hunt by myself much to my wife's objection. Killed a decent buck and packed it out.
