Recently moved to Evanston for work. Really excited to be living near the mountains again after a couple of years in the midwest. I grew up in Utah, which is close by. I've got a lifetime of camping and outdoor experience under my belt, but not much hunting. I'm interested in deer and elk hunting. I have a .270 rifle that weighs about 8.5 lbs scoped and an old Gregory Palisade pack - I'm here in order to read about gear and feel bad about my old gear. I've been reading the site without registering for a couple of weeks now, and I'm hopefully not going to ask too many dumb questions that have already been asked a thousand times!
