I hunt here in ca... X zone every 4 years or so
Normally grab a b tag or d tag for some back pack trips to test equipment and warm up for the big show
Out of state deer and elk as well in: Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and idaho. I prefer chasing high desert/alpine mule deer to anything else.
Rifle, muzzy, or archery I don't care so long as I'm hunting
I like wildcat cartridges and light rifles
I like to duplicate field conditions whenever possible, and will set up steel at varying ranges do a little run and some burpees range and shoot.
Never drawn a sheep tag, not for lack of trying.
When not big game hunting, I like to hunt ducks, geese, turkeys, coyotes, quail and doves and fish a lot.
Make a couple pilgrimages a year to shoot sage rats
