Glad to hear its cooling off. Last year the rut waited til Late Jan in my unit.
I only have like 5 days to hunt next week.
Love the landscape where you are Travis. Mine looks nothing like that lol
Total desert, but we do have the Col river

The weather coming in is gonna be your friend

My how the weather has changed. Beautiful blue today. I'm down here at the in-laws place by the Galiruos. Not hunting, just spending some time here. Saw 17 javelinas, 9 coues does and a pack of coatis yesterday.

Good luck!

He is busy processing and hauling out.... Wouldn't all of us be?
LOL

He couldn't pass that up, unless the bigger one don't make the photo album.
That was some good mass

Good genetics in that unit.
The entire So Az desert holds some incredible deer.
Cant wait to get down there.

You really need to work on your picture taking uploading skillz for us sitting here in the living room.

Well I ended up passing him inside of 250 yards. My friend decided to chase him with a bow once I passed came up short.

Later that day we relocated him a few hills over and he gave me a second chance so I took it! Looks like I’ll be home for Christmas. God is good.

I’ll upload pics mañana as it was a long pack out back to the truck. For wondering minds, yes a whole Coues will fit inside a kifaru rambler.

Awesome can't wait to see those pictures. Looks like a toad from the digiscope upload. One question what made you decide to take him after you had decided to pass him earlier? Just curious. Congratulations

I want to be home for christmas :)

He’s a good buck and by far the best we have seen. It’s been a really tough hunt and originally I was supposed to have one more day to hunt but my family was willing to stay down here for Christmas which would give me until the end of the year but I can’t do that to them!
