    InReach & AT&T Incompatible?

Sound like to me the issue is AT&T. If it’s always that provider that has issue they’re the issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Ramcats

I’m sure they would be fine. Just an FYI I got a complete passthrough on a moose I took a few years ago with the Exodus at 74 yards for what it’s worth. Last year I used the Kudupoint broadhead on my moose. Was able to get two arrows in him. Both complete passthroughs. Sent from my iPhone...

    Broadheads for Moose

I’ve taken one with a QAD Exodus and another with a Kudupoint. Both were complete passthroughs. Any good quality fixed blade will work really. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone have a Canadian moose hunt booked for 2020

As a BC resident I will say plan a different hunt. Even for residents areas are being restrict. The Tahltan nation in northwestern BC has restricted travel residents only and Haida Gwaii is restricting access to island residents only too. Canada/US border restrictions are getting more...

    Choosing an Outfitter

There are no shortage of big bears up there. I would have shot that one but I had already tagged out on two bears that day. Both making BC book (over 19”) and just shy of B&C. Only thing we don’t have there are colour phase bears. All of them are jet black other than the white chevron on the...

    Choosing an Outfitter

Pacific Rim Outfitters on Vancouver Island. It’s Shockey’s outfit. I haven’t hunted with them but I hunt the same area. Always see lots of bears. Also chance at a wolf, there are cougars up there too. These are just from last year up there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Brown bear rug or mount?

Why not do a half mount? Not as much wall space as a rug, more options for wall placement than full body on the ground. And price wise is less. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

B&C line for Sitka vs Columbia......agreement?

All blacktails are coastal. Sitkas only live from mid coast of BC up through into AK. Difference in Columbias from state to state just has to do with genetics and habitat. Same reason why a northern BC whitetail can weigh well over 300 pounds and a southern whitetail might only weigh 150...

B&C line for Sitka vs Columbia......agreement?

All blacktails in the lower 48 are Columbia blacktails. Sitkas have a very short range. The variation has more to do with interbreeding with mule deer. I live in British Columbia and most of our blacktails are Columbias. The lowest place Sitkas come are essentially Haida Gwaii and that distance...

    Hadia gwaii?

Unless you have a blood relative that lives in BC then you could get a license that way. You’d still have to hunt with them but then you wouldn’t need a guide at least Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hadia gwaii?

You would need a guide then, just FYI. It is a target rich environment though. And season opens at the beginning of June which is cool Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Gutting question

It’ll work fine just pull and make small cuts. I’ve always used that method even on moose (bigger animal is actually easier because you can reach into the pelvic girdle easier). If you split the pelvis it’s even easier to get in Theresa’s pull everything out in one shot.

    Early season archery blacktail

Was lucky enough to put this old guy down a couple weeks ago. Had trail cam picks of him for a couple years but this was the first time seeing him in the flesh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Long range shooting

Bears are not hard to stalk if you stay downwind of them. They don't have good eyesight so it a lot easier to get within easy bow range of them compared to other animals. The reason I would stay away from longer shots on bears is because it can be harder to pick your spot. What I mean by that is...

    Gluten Free?

Try reading Wheat Belly and Grain Brain. Some interesting theories on why grains, in general, should be avoided. They had some good arguments and I decided to try it put. I already train 5-6 days a week and consider myself in good shape. Biggest improvement for me is my joint paint essentially...

    Big Agnes Tumble 2

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm just always second guessing gear. I was actually looking at the Hilleberg Anjan already. Quite a bit heavier then the one you guys are using (4lbs) but I like having lots of room and I'm sure I can shave off some weight elsewhere if need be.

    Big Agnes Tumble 2

So I'm headed out on a solo sheep hunt this and have all my gear lined up. The only concern I have at the moment is my shelter. I picked up a Big Agnes Tumble 2 last year. I used it on my solo moose hunt last year and it was fine in the rain. My main concern though is wind. Anyone have any...
