once you are happy with the rest timing and clearance, check that nock pinch. I would loosen it slightly to make sure that isn’t a contributing problem.
I don’t see anything crazy with your nock point or center shot which is good. I can’t say I’ve ever seen a drop away rest tied in that way but that might be a red herring. It is very possible that the timing of the rest if still off. This makes a massive difference and needs to be checked...
I shot 100 grain IW solids for the first time a week ago and had excellent flight. It is a very forgiving broadhead from what I can tell. A lot of weekends shooting bareshaft, making small adjustments, letting the new strings break in, more bareshaft, more small tweaks to the DL, rest, etc...
If your FP POI has shifted that is no big deal and the easiest thing to fix (resight in bow). The biggest issue to FP to BH POI. What does that look like after they made adjustments?
One thing I will say as well…. IF you have a cable activated drop away rest like a QAD, you may need to retime the rest while you are adjusting. More of an issue if you had to move the rest up (which you don’t need to do) because the extra tension from the rest cable will un-time your cams...
⬆️ This guy knows how to tune a broadhead and is the most efficient way to get the result you want. If you want the more complicated way….keep center shot at 13/16th from riser and Twist a yoke cable if the bow has yokes or shim the cams if a binary bow. I’d just move the rest.
I am looking to build a 7PRC using a T3X Tikka action, Prefit barrel, and chassis. Purpose of the rifle is mainly LR steel with some LR hunting a possibility (in Texas). Weight/mobility not an issue. I will likely put at least a Sendero contour on it and build the rifle with enough heft that...
No, same ammo. Gun has been shooting like a champ and then the accuracy just went to complete shit last week. I had a lot of copper fouling in the bore so I did the bore eliminator routine and got out all sorts of crap. Went back out yesterday and groups were literally all over. Random shots...
Shot 6 groups today with two different factory ammo. All 0.9-1.1 MOA. Not exactly the 0.5 MOA I had before but consistent enough to where I think the mount it probably ok.
Could my accuracy degradation be a function of ~300 rounds now through the gun due to throat erosion? Maybe I need to...
