I’m shopping for a new computer, hopefully a laptop, with a primary use of photo and video editing. I have a Sony RX10 IV (thanks to reading this forum) and several Go-Pros and would like to start making some short highlight videos of fishing trips on my boat as well as doing some photo editing...
I bought a FoxPro Hammerjack and the low battery light is on with fresh rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
I tried three different sets of Energizer rechargeable AA's, and then went and bought the non rechargeable and the low battery light is still on.
Any suggestions?
I have narrowed my search down to these two. I will mostly take still pictures and rarely video. This would be my do everything camera for travel, hunting, backpacking. I decided I don't want a collection of lenses and appreciate the help from the A6300/6500 thread.
Any suggestions as to which...
Hello everyone.
I'm looking for advice for my first quality camera. I'm obviously not a pro but I'm a “buy once, cry once” kind of guy with gear. I don’t want something that I will quickly outgrow or that will be obsolete the next year. I do a lot of backpacking in the summer and backpack...
So far I have 18 days off for elk season, and I plan on backpacking hunting the whole time. I will backpack in and drop camp then day hike from there, only returning to my truck to resupply food and fuel once a week. I will be mostly boiling water for dehydrated food, 3 meals a day.
So I have a...
What is the general time frame the hide needs to get to a cooler before its going to be no good?
How far is it suggested to skin and de-flesh in the field. Any tricks (salt?) to buy me more time?

Pin gap with 200gr points? Update in OP.
Im considering switching to a 200gr fixed blade broadhead for Elk in OR this year.
I currently use an Axcel Armortech 7pin sight (20-80yds) on a PSE Vendetta XL 70lb, with Blue Streak Selects and 100gr points at 315fps.
For those of you who have made...
Shot in the dark here, but I'm looking for new ground to shoot ground squirrels this spring in NE OR.
I was going to some private ground outside of La Grande but it got sold.
If you know of anyone in the La Grande, N. Powder, Baker areas who would like to reduce their ground rat populations I...
I saw a thread on the Kifaru forum about a NE Oregon rendezvous. I haven't joined the Kifaru forum yet but was wondering if any of the members here were planning on attending?
Planning a summer vacation in Alaska and I'm thinking that my daily carry Sig p226 357 sig isn't enough.
I'm looking at the S&W 329PD 44mag or maybe a Glock 40 in 10mm. We will be doing some hiking, camping, and fishing.
Any thoughts on either one of those?
I just got my custom tent back from BearPaw Designs for my Kifaru Sawtooth. Looks good so far, but have only had time to set it up in the back yard. The tent keeps the rear pole but brings it inside and has reinforcements for it. So my sleeping area goes from the very back of the shelter to the...

In very good shape, but I did epoxy the front sling studs in place for more support with the bipod.
I can text pictures if needed.
Would like to sell it for $475 shipped.
