I have a blast antelope hunting out here in sodak, like kpk said it is over the counter for archery and the season starts mid august. rifle draw ends aug 15, I haven't hunted rifle yet.
the archery hunting is pretty good, but that also depends on where you go and how good your spot and stalk...
so im deployed and away from the family for now, and im feeling nostalgic

I just put in for my first archery elk tag in South Dakota. I'm not expecting to get a tag, but the thought of it being a possibility is still exciting.
i have had the fortunately so far short career of a diesel mechanic in the USAF, have seen about 8 different countries in the last decade. have to love the change of scenery.
I grew up hunting and fishing with my dad and uncles and great uncles in PA. I grew up and joined the military and took quite the hiatus from hunting. now reading all of this, I mean I feel like a hipster. lol
