What type of hunt were you looking to do? I'd like to go for archery elk/deer but wouldn't be opposed to rifle or muzzle loader.

    Kelty sleeping bags

I'm new to mummy style bags so trying to figure out fit. I've heard if bag is too big you lose some heat. I've heard synthetic dries faster but salesman at REI stated treated down is as good and would dry out faster. All that being said he's a hiker and not back country hunter.

With a floored shelter, the biggest concern is condensation, so do what you can to minimize this and keep that bag dry. Forgive my ignorance but would floorless with sleeping pad cut down on condensation?

Bag would be used mostly out west Colorado, Idaho, Montana. Using a tent with floor for now. Months of late Aug and into October.

    Practice for distance

Thanks guys limited at home but buddy has some acreage I could possibly set up on. One indoor range has 50 or 60 yds target another outside I believe is 80. Being a deer hunter in East never considered long shots. But I plan to do elk hunt out west so want to be able, under right conditions...

    Practice for distance

For you guys that are proficient shooting 80 to 100 yards with compound bow. How often do you shoot and how many arrows per session. You can also add any other suggestions you may have. Thanks , Paul Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
