I wear an 11 Salomon 4D and Crispi Nevadas but an 11.5 in the Hanwag alverstone II fits me perfect. They are hands down the most comfortable boot I own.
I keep a sheep tarp, small piece of tyvek, a few stakes, cord, and a space blanket in my bag all the time. It all packs up in the tarp bag and is fairly light and compact
I have been using crispi Nevada's for several years now with no issues. I also love my hanwag boots, I will be buying hanwag over crispi from now because the hanwag fit better.

I have kuiu attack pants and they are good, but for 2 years now my go to pants are sitka mountain pants and timberline pants. For me they are the most comfortable and durable pants I've used. The attack pants do have a more athletic cut than either of the sitka pants. I wear a 30x32 in sitka...
We use a 14x16 tent from the wall tent shop. It is great for 3-4 guys with gear. We also used a new stove from Clarry pellet stove in the tent this year and it was a game changer. We loaded it with 50lbs of pellets and it would burn for around 12 hours or so. I absolutely recommend that...
I just got home from 2nd rifle in unit 52(Grand Mesa NF). I scouted almost a week prior, hunted hard all week, and saw zero elk. However I did find fresh tracks in the snow at higher elevations and saw plenty of sign, but the only elk I saw was a 6x6 killed near private land. I saw alot of...
