Looking to by pass the Sheep/goat hunting trip next year and thinking on a 10 day Elk hunt (moose as well but Elk primarily) up North Eastern BC (mid Sept). Wondering if those in the know could recommend some good reference material be it books or On line. This will be a all new to me. i checked...
Would placing one of those silver emergency blankets under you sleeping pad increase your warmth? Me and a buddy were talking about this other day. Anyone try it before?

Hey folks, Ill be making my own meals for my upcoming Sheep/Goat hunt in Sept. Ramen noodles re hydrate pretty easily but looking at some other options. I want to just add hot water instead of "cooking time". Ill be dehydrating venison/spag sauce and vegetables as well. Just curious what others...
Hey folks, looking for reviews/opinions on their pads. Im looking for something wider with a decent insulating value and came across these guys. looking at the insulated static v luxe pad. Im not concerned about the weight (close to 2lbs) as I am not going to scrimp on comfort for sleep anymore...
Does anyone else own one of these? Had to order a couple buckles so grabbed a ball cap and this belt as well. it seems pretty obvious how it works but it keeps slipping when it is on....Am i missing something here or has anyone else experienced this as well....?

Kifaru is packed up and leaving at 05:00, buddy has a Grizz draw and Ill be looking for a nice Black bear. Have a 3 hr drive before we head north into the mountains. Only have 2 nights/3 days but this is the first trip. Still alot of snow but its a small window before the alders/willows leaf up...
Heading out in a couple weeks on a grizz/black bear hunt. This will be a snowshoe/backpack hunt. This will be my first Grizz hunt. My buddy has a draw for grizz and I'll be looking for a nice colour phase (it's what my wife wants). Being that it's spring we will be gassing the avalanche chutes...
