Hopefully! I’m used to super amount of pressure, high altitude, steep, rugged mountains, where it’s 100 during the day and freezing at night. Really tough to tag a buck out here. I got lucky with my bear. Hopefully I can get more experience because I’m all self taught right now what I picked up...
I lived in Big Bear, CA. 7,500 ft. I plowed snow for 4 years and this last year from January to April, Was a tough one. Summers and Springs are real nice in our mountains but winters can get rough. I was dealing with 10ft snow fall my self. 😅 my wife took that photo of me crossing a 6ft fence...
Hey all!
Finally confirmed, family and myself moving to ND. Got a job and will be planting roots (hopefully).
Anyone give me the quick info on hunting there, (over the counter tags?) (rifle/bow) exc. How’s the hunting community up there exc.
How’s hunting in that cold? I’m used to 20s and up...
Appreciate it brother, yeah, I’m looking at the app OnX not looking too good. Crazy that so much land can be owned in one spot. I’m used to the San bardino National in Forest, all the BML down there and the Angeles national Forest. Public land.
Not much one for a guided hunt, also too poor for...
Damn, I appreciate that info. Sounds like it’s going to be rough in this area. Might be better off going fishing. LOL
I’ve always looked at Fort Hunter, Liggett, think I’m gonna see what the process looks like to get access.
Hey all!
My move to Wyoming has been postponed, job fell through for now. Did get a job up in San Jose, CA, (Moved from Big Bear Lake) trying to figure out the nearest public hunting area and coming up short. Anyone know of some public land around? I been seeing dead wild boars In the road...
Oh I know, I’ve read some things for sure. Born and raised here in CA, doesn’t mean I agree with this states politics and policy lol I hunt fish off road and have a gun in my truck 😝. I live in a Mountain community its the coastal cities that have the power in the way of politics. Hard to fight...

Well I’d say I’m used to interesting weather living at 7.5k feet currently. Have 100 ft+ pines on the property that like to come down in the winds haha 😬 definitely be something to get used to.
I appreciate the insight, I grew up in the desert and used to pretty good winds, not quite like that but for the opportunity ahead of me I’ll deal with it haha.
Heya all!
I just had a question regarding Wyoming, I might have a job lined up there in the next two months. I was wondering how does getting your residence work? I’ve googled it and it seems a little weird. I might buy house already as I got the loan together but not sure if that qualifies as...
