RAB Microlight but It’s getting long in tooth. The new FL Brooks has slightly higher fill power so I think that’ll be my replacement. I’ve been really happy with the warmth of the “ultralight” down puffy.
W1D3 in the bag. Spent a little extra time confirming my form through the entire deadlift set (have been injured doing olympic DL's before. . so I'm a little hesitant on them). Ended up adding 10lb from the 10 set descending. Renegade rows weightless. I've confirmed that basically my entire...
Not happy with my level of soreness. . I struggled to hold my 7 week old baby and walk him up and down the stairs... taking a rest day today. Some simple foam roller pain and walk outside. Trying to get the blood flowing. Back in for day 3 tomorrow.
W1D2: The Long Haul. 41:45. 15lb presses, 20lb dumbbell cleans. I wasn’t sure on the weight so that’s just what I picked. I need to work on my dumbbell cleans... I’m not sure I was getting them correctly. Burpees suck. Mtn Tough burpees suck worse (especially after that ladder of sadistic...
Well. . . i wish there was an incomplete button. W1D1. . did not complete the entire Pushup set or the Military press set. I'm smoked. . . but not surprised. Upper body has always been my nemesis. . and because of it, got less training.
It's bookmarked to come back to. Me at the 22's aren't...
Seek Outside DST. I've been a nearly exclusive tarp user for the better part of a decade, and the DST is hands down the most versatile tarp I have ever used.
I'm in. Chatted with Dustin briefly via email and I want to give this a go. Dropped 60 lbs last year on Keto and have kept it off. . Now I want to straight up improve fitness in a big way. Week 1 Day 1 starts Monday. Mommy!
Would pitching in a modified A-frame then folding the forward stake points in be enough coverage? Reference the photos in post #9 of this thread? Makes for a pretty darn secure shelter.
Sort of. I’d been hounding them about Dyneema options starting in 2016. KT and I have corresponded several times about it... mostly talking ideas. The whole SO team all knew I loved the DST (in addition to all the other SO stuff I own)... so they asked if I wouldn’t mind testing something new...
I like the tipi because of the wind resistance and snow shedding ability. Snows in the PacNW tend to be heaevy and wet. . .the kind of 3" "Dusting" that can crush shelter structures. The steeper walls of the tipi really keep the structure sound.
But don't think I don't eye that Redcliff often...
New DST?
So this DST looks a little different than the others. . and I love it. Dyneema. Ultra lightweight. And an epic shelter. Tested in my backyard, Banff and the Frank Church. It now has a permanent home (replacing the Sil DST) in my pack for all solo and day-trip adventures.
Final...
