I'm left eye dominant, but shoot rifles, pistols and shotguns right handed. I write with my right hand and shoot a hockey puck left handed.
I'm completely new to archery and am now looking at purchasing a bow. When I do, it will be a south paw model just because of my eye dominance.
My son...
I'm just getting into archery and have been looking at bows and reviews online.
The nearest Scheels has the Traverse on sale for $799. I shot it yesterday and it felt good, but I've yet to shoot any other compound bow that was built after 2000.
Being a lefty, I'm limited to what shops have on...
Hi Everyone,
Over Labor Day, a friend and I went to Idaho in an attempt to harvest some black bears. For the trip, I bought a Spot Gen 3 tracker. I didn't realize that I had to pay for one full year of service as opposed to month to month service.
Being I am not likely to use it again...
I loaded up some 165 SSTs with H414 and it did pretty well in my Dad's BAR. I dont know what the velocities were, but the load was 55.3 grains of powder.

I am headed to Idaho for a bear hunt in August. We will be hiking in a few miles to a base camp. Max elevation will be around 7500 feet.
I have a Tikka CTR that I will be taking with me. Up top sits a Bushnell XRS 4.5-30 power that weighs in at 37 ounces. I have been shooting with this...
I would choose something with a 50mm bell. It will collect more light than a 40mm. I bought my dad a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x50 for his deer rifle for $169 at Natchez and it does pretty well.

Heres what it looks like. I can enter muzzle velocity and yardsge and determine the BC. The longer the range, the better.

I would say the BC you put into the ballistics calculator isn't correct. Depending on your app, you can modify it to match actual experiences.
I use Strelok and I can adjust it that way. Give me a minute and I can screen shot it.

Have you shot any of this ammo through your rifle? I shot some factory Lapua ammo in my 6.5x47 and it would put up 2.5 inch groups at 500 yards and the SD was in the low 6s.

So heres what I did. Cut the female end off of a 3/8" extension. Insert this end into a 1/2" drill. A 19mm socket fits on the LEM mixer inplace of the handle. Then spin the drill slowly to mix your meat. Works wonders and saves your wrists and forearms.

I use a 1/2 inch Dewalt corded drill and usually only mix 25 pounds at a time. I haven't had any issues with the drill getting hot. Although, if you do not add any water to your mix the drill struggles. I add water because I mix and then stuff casings for sausage. This setup works much...
No, theres a hex piece on the end of the mixer that the handle attaches to. A 19mm socket will fit on this piece. I'm at work now, but I will post a picture when i get home.

I have the same meat mixer. I use a 3/8" drive, 19mm deep well socket, and a piece of 3/8" extension that I cut the female end off of so that it will fit in a 1/2" corded drill. Makes mixing meat a whole lot easier.

No firearm in the pic, but we used firearms to take the deer. This is me, my son, and my dad, and this is my son's first deer.
