While I have zero experience with any of these models, I’ve been researching Hilleberg a TON lately. Maybe look at the Helags 2 (or 3 for +7oz.) Little more of a weight penalty for non sloping backside. No GT version as someone noted above, but seems plenty roomy, especially for 1. 🤷🏼♂️
Solid! I have a malamute as well, shedding season is upon us….might have to look into this as he’ll probably shed a few pairs worth of fur at least. Digging the Steger Mukluks as well, cheers!
Best Western Premier Ivy Inn. Probably falls under the “chain” but I thought it had a different look and feel than your typical. Definitely clean and updated. Looks like rooms are pushing $300 a night for that timeframe, ouch!
Passed through Cody for a night with the family in 2021 and wouldn’t...

Kudos to this guy on his prep/practice with his choice of bear defense.
Lots of great info here. I’ll echo to check out the Cody Night Rodeo for sure! Best one of the four or five I’ve attended in WY/ID/MT over the years. That is a lot of ground to cover in an 11 day trip that includes hiking. Custer Park/Black Hills are great areas to explore. I’ve only driven...

Check out this place for zip lining. Did an outing with them during an Oahu trip a few years back and I wouldn’t hesitate to check out their Gatlinburg location.
Saw this mentioned in another thread about loading up magazines with alternating extreme penetrators/hard cast. I personally have no experience, just gathering info for my own endeavors into big bear country.
Have your podiatrist fit you for custom orthotics to fit YOUR foot and fix your specific foot issue. If he doesn’t do custom orthotics, find one that does. You’ll go through a lot of money and time searching for an off the shelf orthotic that may or may not work. I’ve done just that.
Still...
Great suggestions above, I’ll echo Black Hills/Needles Highway/Custer Park, lots of wildlife. Devils Tower is a cool stop. We drove through the Bighorns for the first time this summer, definitely want to head back for more exploring. Cody Night Rodeo. SxS rental is a great idea to cover a lot...
The full cushion is noticeably “full” across the top of the foot as compared to the regular boot cushion. I’ve recently ordered and tried out both to compare and while the full works for my narrow/bony foot, I can see how it may not work for some. Might be worth trying the normal cushion if...
Didn’t know this, thanks. I take vitamin supplements as well, but always looking to get the same through vitamin enriched foods. Good info on this thread thanks!
I tried a couple arrows per side on a Duplex Lite. With approx 40# pack I had significant slipping no matter how much I cranked on the waist belt. The curved carbon fiber locked in much better for me. Definitely gonna be different for every "body" Worth a try though to see if it works..Good Luck
