I would be hunting the rifle season.
Here in Wisconsin when gun season opens for whitetails pretty much every non-hunter gets out of the woods. Bow season I deal with a lot of hikers, dog walkers, etc.. but come opening weekend it just stops. Is that not the case for Montana?
Thanks for the...
Does anyone have any experience with this unit?
From what I can find online its general tag so with my 2 points I should be able to draw and its also an either sex unit.
I was thinking about the areas surrounding mount humbug or the section between hwy 2 and i90. Or should I focus more on the...
I have a patagonia reclaimed wool sweater that I wore a bunch this year as both a mid and outer layer. I also wear wool for skiing, hiking, and fishing. Its a comfortable material that has some pretty big pluses over synthetics.
I will agree on the rifles. I have a Ruger American. I don't think they make a rifle cheaper than that and I am punching cloverleafs at 100 yards. My Hawkeye will probably become a safe queen at this point.
There are just so many affordable rifles that shoot on par with many high end or even...
OR Ferosi, Marmot Scree, Prana Zion.
Zions are too tight for my thick legs. So I wear the OR Ferosi pants whenever its a little warmer and the screes when its a little colder since the screes are a little thicker and warmer.
The best way to get that back up bow is too keep your old one when you upgrade. Its set up for you, you are comfortable shooting it, and the value of bows seem to drop every year.
Even on deer hunting day sits I'll bring a back up pair of socks, a spare release, and allens to adjust the sight...
I have looked at Montana because if I have the vacation time I can always come back if I strike out, and for rifle its any elk in most areas not a minimum of 4pts or brow tine larger than x inches. I see it as a place with more opportunity.
I've used my hero3 a bunch, and I really want to pick up one of the new ones. I have to agree with dotman, just use the thing. Film everything, time lapse everything, just remember that you brought it along and that you need to use it.
Since the puffy goes under the shell why not look at a patagonia, sierra designs, eddie bauer, etc... I can pretty much guarantee you that you will get a better jacket for your money with an outdoors brand.
I've used them and I generally like them, but as soon as the filter freezes they are shot. So I like to have some coffee filters and micropure tablets with me.
