I am also curious if it was just personal preference as to not liking it or what the issue was. If it is poor quality, others may like to know prior to spending money. If it is just it doesn't match your camo then it is a personal reason.
Yes, the no return is good to know, but the reason for...
Welcome from SE MI, do my MI Deer hunting up there in Mid-Mich, southern half of the lower peninsula is some of the hardest hunted area in the US.
Tons of great info on this site, learning a lot myself.
Are you referring to out of season or during? I have seen stands left for both. The year round irritate me, but the ones where they leave it overnight I take in stride. Just try to figure out their entry and exit path(s) and go from there.
Public land here in the lower peninsula of MI is a...
Very cool. The 30.30 in our family has also been passed down. My father, myself and my son all got their first deer with it. Money value? Little. Family value? Priceless.
Congrats on the very nice gift.
I am in this as well, looking forward to retirement in about 4 to 5 years. One thing I am taking into consideration a lot are storms. Too many places look nice but if there is severe weather constantly, huge negative in the search. After living in the Great Lakes area thinking high humidity is a no
Have you tried checking with a local leather shop that works on motorcycle leathers. Often they do zipper repairs and may have the part you need or know where to get it.
After my multiple shoulder surgeries, I have a significant loss of range of motion. I am working out, but any thoughts on exercises or stretches to hopefully work the ROM back up?
Currently can only raise my right arm about 1" above my belt in the back, left arm about 3".
Excellent read and information, thank you for taking the time to write and share. Sent the link to my son as our goal is a trip together. Like you, just the chance to spend time with him in the woods makes a hunt worthwhile, meat for the table is a bonus.

I think a lot of it stems from the hunting shows people watch. Since the host gets a monster wearing a certain set of gear, then it stands to reason that if I wear that gear I too will be successful in my hunt.
Heck, I'm thinking if I get the Realtree Chevy Pickup special edition the deer won't...
I use a Barnett for rifle with my daughter as she is not good at all with heights, so tree stands are out of the question. I usually try to brush is an good spot prior to the season so that when I take the blind out, it goes up on a spot well camouflaged previously with something the deer are...
Know not up to the par of most of you but here is where I am at. 62 years old. After a serious motorcycle accident and 8 surgeries, I have had work done on both shoulders and both knees and have two (2) cages in my neck held in place by twelve (12) screws. Trying to get back in shape to do an...
