    For a glassing spot, white light is fine in my opinion. I would keep it on low unless you absolutely need it. If you where headed to a tree stand or a spot over bait, I would go with either color. I have had deer walk up to me, within 20 yards with my head lamp on full blast.

    It does not hurt to download all of them with the map. I use the 10 mile setting and I'll do the outside areas if needed also in a 10 mile. This seems to make the map easier to navigate in my opinion. I down load on computer with all of the layers, you can shut the layers off if not needed.

    I dont have tons of experience but I also chose a 0 degree slick bag due to its size, synthetic material, and center zip. My idea was i can always unzip and cool off but its a lot harder to get warm.

    I would look at something like this. ALPS OutdoorZ Commander + Pack Bag its 130 on amazon, it will hold all of your gear, it will also pack some meat. It is probably not the most comfortable pack. It may not hold up like some of the others, but, it would serve it purpose for what you need.
