Brooks (integrated frame w/shelf) is large belt with 2 accessory pockets
Saker (breakaway w/shelf) is Medium belt with 2 accessory pockets
used on 4-5 trips. DM if interested.
2nd the ARB, there’s cheaper knock offs but questionable.
been great for the 4 years I’ve had it. chance of wind stake it down! They have the original bag version and newer easy access hard aluminum case. Batwing is great option for lots of coverage, I just couldn’t make it work for length of...
Use 1 trekking pole with carbon pole set off Amazon, bought a rubber cap for one end which slips up into pocket nicely. Carbon pole slips over end of trekking pole enough that there’s no need to tie or brace off.
It’s about 18” and weighs nothing...

Been watching comments since it was released but just came across the fact that smart notifications won’t work with IPhone. Anybody know if there will be a update by Garmin to change this? Is there a work around?
I have the Brooks, my son has the Saker. I’ve had mine longer and love it. It is extremely flexible if you only want to deal with one pack. It compresses down perfectly for a day pack by just relocating several straps. We packed out an elk and the one thing with the Saker is my sone stripped off...
My son bought them for me this summer. Wasn’t what I thought I wanted but didn’t want to disappoint him so I went with them. Was concerned about the narrowness of sole but after 3 pack trips and packing out an elk on one I Love em! I run from standard width to borderline wide in some brands but...

My 15 yr old bought these for me with his first summer money 3 weeks ago, I was a little hesitant and thinking they really weren’t what I wanted but after 25 miles and coming from Danners/Meindel, I’m really impressed! I felt the the ankle support was great by double lacing the top two eyelets...
My 15 yr old son somehow scored 1of 2 tags for the apprentice Marble Mountains unit.
Looking for anybody willing to share any tips for our preliminary scouting. Grew up on the north side but understand better odds on south and west side of unit. Also any experience with the rut for Sept 5-16...
I have had the park bag for about 5 years now. Love the room and packs good but can't quite figure out the feeling damp/cold bit in middle of night early morning, not sure if its the whole sleeve style with only the pad underneath or not??? use the Q core which is super comfy. I will say that BA...
I got mine last July. Took me a bit to wrap my head around it but I love it! That being said if you run a day pack a lot you may find something in that line more practical. But if you want versatile 1 go to then I say this is it. You can leave a few seldom/just in case items in the main bag and...
Look for Benjamin Odyke Hydrogap, little rubber/silicone bead pattern over the house wrap. And it’s less noisy. Not sure about weight and may be slightly bulkier. We used it on one job but had no left overs, but kept thinking how perfect it would be. My boys threatened me not to use Tyvek again...
