Great Falls. First I have to say the wind blows a lot and strong so always have a backup plan to do something inside. I will say that there is entertainment in watching a trampoline blow across a field like a tumbleweed
For food my favorite places have always been Howard pizza and getting a...
No experience with h4831sc but as others have stated h4350 is the way to go. I have also had very good results with imr4451 but the enduron powders have been pretty tough to locate.

There is an online course. But if you have a previous year bow hunting license from another state then that would qualify as well. I know pre covid residents were also required to do a field day for the online course but not sure of course requirements for non resident.

I’d check out some of the refurb deals on Sierra Trading Post for Vortex. You could get a solid combo well within your price range.
Another option is to talk to Doug at cameraland about the Athlon Ares series of spotting scopes and Cronus series binos. They could also hook you up with a solid...
Got mine in. There was one mark on the body but the glass and function is great. Came with all paperwork and scope cover that would come with it new. Very pleased for the price
There are still 65mm gen 1 scopes for $599

I’ve done tons of research. I want to get a spotter but don’t want to invest too heavily in it but don’t want to under purchase either. Sportsmans will occasionally run the gen1 85mm for 749 which is a great deal when it happens. But I thing the Athlon ares series is probably the best bang for...
We counted 47 trucks one weekend for an area that only covers about 15 sq miles. There are a lot of elk but has gotten to be too many hunters.

I haven’t played with 6.5 Staball but have had good results with Imr 4451. Burns a little cleaner and about .5 gn difference between h4350 for similar results. Haven’t worked up a 708 load with it yet

I am still waiting to find out about mine. Bought one at the sportsman’s balloon pop sale. Only got 5% off but they had it tagged wrong so still made out okay. The KRG bravo and the Area 419 rail just arrived so need to put it all together. Still debating on what optic to put on it.

Call the forest service office in the specific area you are looking. They would have the most insight. Otherwise it s guess and check. I have never found anything online that has an interactive map

I agree with Billy on this. Though the others may work in a pinch , having a good press is hard to beat for ease of work and from the safety aspect. Now I will say I was impressed with the Synum press for compression but wasn’t as easy to work on bows with it. The last chance presses are a good...
I am surprised that there is no mention of Aberlour 12 and 16. Personally I prefer Balvenie 12 but the Aberlours are close. Also a touch more budget friendly.
If I am just looking to get the job done, I have a bottle of monkey shoulder

I just went through looking myself. I settled on the tikka t1x. Quite a bit less money but the reviews were outstanding and strong aftermarket support
I researched the heck out of the ranger and I couldn’t believe the number of people that had to send them back for warranty work. One of the...
Some of the info Alan gives is correct but some is over stated. Shops set people up based on the wingspan divided by 2.5. This gives a general range where someone’s dl should be. But we are all built different. Arm length, hand size and should broadness introduce many variables. I found that...
As stated above, housing will be the most difficult thing right now. I have spoken to several people that are on waiting lists for rentals. As for buying, be prepared to move fast and overpay. The housing market has just gone nuts over the last 12-16 months
There are some great outdoor related...
From my understanding they currently aren’t shipping due to the in store volume demands. Our local store won’t even transfer from another sportsmans location and the recommended ordering online and have it shipped to local store.

I have a different take on it. A salvage vehicle was running and driving at the time that it was totaled and the owner probably didn’t intend on getting rid of it. Not the same as someone wanting to unload a vehicle through trade due to mechanical issues. Also a total is based on damage to...
