I'm looking for a good pair or two of work boots. I'm a field forester so I'm outside every day no matter conditions. They will see some chemical in the summertime spraying (backpack sprayer about 40lbs), paint marking timber, chainsawing (FSI) most of the winter but more importantly 4-12 miles...
Well two hawken rifles followed me home yesterday. A 50 and 54. I already have another 54 but really only wanted the 50, but they offered too good of a deal for both. So I'm looking at options to extend my range a bit.
I shoot pyrodex p behind a maxi ball (400ish gr??) In the current 54...
Man I've always had a soft spot for the TV hawken rifles since shooting my grandfather's. I have his 54 cal now and wanting a few more if I can find them. Now I want to build one! Great shooting. Guess I need to start looking into the parts you're using here!
Hello all. I am getting into trad for hunting around my home. Will likely still hunt with my compound out west but want an extra challenge here in MO. I will likely purchase a satori down the road but for now I want to start with what i have. I have a hoyt tiburon 45 lb and a ptf widow. I have...
I'm really wanting to try them this year. But I keep going back and forth between the s100 and the wide. May even go up to 125s but havent built the arrows yet. Any impact difference at distance from the two? Wind resistance would seem to catch the wide.
I'm in for this as well. I found them looking for remington prefit barrels and the price has me both interested and worried. Looks like people are having good results!
I have been looking at a few lense options. But may stick with the kit lense for starters as I'm just a beginner. But if a better lense is out there for what I'm wanting to do I might go that route. Thank you for the reply sir.
I do see that the 5100 doesnt have a view finder. Might be worth jumping up to the a6000 for that? I may have to call you up sometime and discuss a few options. Like I said I'm just a beginner but would really like to be able to document some of the cool things that I see. I'm not sure I would...
I'm looking for a little insight on these two. While I'm very much a beginner, I'm looking to get into some photography while out on my hunts and trips. Mainly will be packed on hunts to document things I see and share with others.
Size is why I picked sony mirrorless because I will be more...
I'm going to be out there second week of Sept. Been there once before and saw a good number of goats. Its alot of fun and a good "practice run" for western hunts I feel. Plus they just get under your skin a bit.
Best of luck out there!
I am going to western Nebraska as well this year. I've been before, a few years ago. I will say that although not like Wyoming, there was still a fair number of goats and saw several that I'd been more than happy with on the wall. One was an absolute stud and I flubbed a shot on a very nice one...
What I'm thinking about doing is running the eastern ruck between the wings of the nomad similar to what they do with the native. That way I have a ton of options. Itll be one heck of an approach pack and to get the first small load back to camp to grab the frame!
Hey guys. Newbie going to try my luck for archery mule deer in region x. Any pointers on where to start? Region x is huge and I'm a Missouri whitetail hunter. This will be my first solo trip (could not find anyone crazy enough it seems lol)
