    Trekking Poles

    I am looking to buy trekking poles to take on an elk hunt this fall. Not looking to buy top of the line, but don’t want something that is going to snap on the first trip. Looking for suggestions. Does anyone have an experience with Kelty Range 2.0 poles or Mountainsmith Carbonlite pros?

    Back bar...worth it?

    I currently run an 8 inch bee stinger off the front. Switched to a tight spot and wondering if putting a back bar on to offset the quiver would be worth it. Is the weight too much to carry for a week?

    Archery Elk Hunt Opening Day or Rut?

    What do you guys think? If hunting Colorado archery season, mix of public and private, is it better to be out there opening week or a mid September week when the rut may be at its peak?
