    Trying to decide between the Exped Megamat 10 Outfitter and the Thermarest Mondoking for base camp. Does anyone have any experience with either? Im sure durability goes to Exped but what about comfort?

    I have the Quests as well as the Dakota's. Both fit and comfort are equal. Had to go up a size in both. Edge to Crispi for durability, but your also paying for it!

    I went from Salomon to Crispi this year. Happy with the Crispi's so far, seem way more durable.

    Hornady ELD-X

    Last year shot a bull elk 275 yards with the 200 gr. ELD-X high in the shoulder. The bull took about 2 steps before falling over. The bullet didn't exit but got the job done. Dropped a 8pt whitetail in its tracks this year, only about 25 yards with exit wound the size of a baseball. Overall...

    Would you guy's feel comfortable hunting in the back country with an MSR Hubba Hubba tent and 0 degree bag. We will be hunting first rifle elk in north western Colorado? Do I need a 4 season shelter for mid October?

    Hey guys new to the forum. Wanted to say hi and see if any one had any idea how the elk herd around Craig, Co. are doing. Group of us are going out from Pa to hunt the 2nd season, we herd it had been one of the worst winters in a long time in much of the western states.
