Anyone hear about Grizz encounter in MT GMU 360 early last week?

We hunted archery elk in 360 last week and and a neighboring hunter/camper heard someone pop off some rapid fire rounds one evening. Sounded like a hand gun. 3 different people had grizz encounters that week. Luckily they were all civil. Curious if anyone had heard anything?

G40 Holster/carry options with exo 5500

I just went through this with my exo 5500 about a month ago. I researched lots of options and the only thing I liked was the safariland setup and it goes on my left hip pad (Im a lefty)...looks like it will work great. $48

Prana Zion or EB Guide Pro pants

I hiked almost 30 miles with my Pranas and my EXO 5500 on our last trip and had no issues with the belt on the pants with a pack.

lightweight amazon cot 3.3lbs

I got the marchway cot...awesome, easy to go together, looks legit. I took a nap on it last night lol...worked good. Thanks for recommendation. I hope it works well on a 10 day elk tip this fall!

Merino vs Synthetics worth it?

A good buddy of mine has the 17 model obsidian pants and loves them also. From what I have read First lite changed the fit of the 2018 model. Feels just like described...hammer pants, huge in butt, legs and tight around ankles.

So I got my 2018 First lite obsidian pants in the mail in Fusion color....They fit like described above. Tall wasted with suspenders like a pair of 10 year old cabelas overalls and very loose in but and legs and tight around ankles. Overall I cant believe that First lite chargers $180 plus...

lightweight amazon cot 3.3lbs

Looking at some of the 3-4lb cots for an elk hunt this fall. We are taking in a wall tent with horses but I still dont want a 10-20lb tent. In case I ever want to backpack this cot in I could do so if its reasonably light. Been looking at the two cots below. Wondering if anyone has used one...

great info...so you your 17 obsidians didnt fit well or last either? What a mess...a lot of money for a heavy pair of odd fitting and not durable pants.

wow great timing for you to write this review. Man that is a bummer. Can you not return them? Just curious whats your height/weight? Im 6'0 195. Sounds like the fit on these is really odd and not ideal for a hunting scenario. Whats odd to me if Merino wool pants were so good why is it that...

Thanks guys. I have two pair of the Prana Zion stretch pants and loved them when I did a 5 day spring bear hunt. Im considering saving $180 and not getting the FL Obisidian pants for my fall elk hunt and just wearing my two prana pants.

Garmin mini came today

ya I used it as a GPS, checked weather a few times a day, and we also tracked a bear with it. I didnt play with the interval tracking to see what it was set to. IM sure 15 minutes would be fine.
