Lost a pair of Swaros on a hunting trip while making a run into town to restock on food and caffeine. They were in the backseat and the only thing we can figure is they must have fallen out while unloading. Truck was locked and no forced entry. Didn't realize they were gone until it was too...
I would be interested in an in-depth explanation of bullet seating on your handloads. Specifically, do you seat as close to the lands as possible, and if so how do you determine this measurement? Or is it more of a case-by-case basis and different for every gun?

As stated above, I too would be careful about camping on state land. Having a tag doesn't grant you permission to camp on any state land, and I have met people who were given tickets for making this mistake. Typically, there is so much BLM in that part of the state, I think it is easier to stick...
Make sure its legal in your state but the Alabama Rig is a great option for cold water. Slow roll it around bluff walls or anywhere there is a steep transition from shallow to deep water. I would also try a suspending jerkbait, once you get it in the strike zone pause it for at least 5 seconds...
Was there this past weekend and I'll be there for the 2nd archery hunt. FR 87 was still in good shape up to Brazos ridge, after that it was slick and boggy. If the rain keeps up I wouldn't go past there without a winch
Go now. I've been out of school 3 years and have a very similar degree. You will be working long hours and it will be hard to find a whole week to take off. I hunted all through college and still wish I had gone more.
Its a long ways from you but I agree you should look into the AZ archery tag...
