Does anybody know when/why people started using the term “run” instead of “wear” or “use”, when talking about their equipment? For example, “I run Danner boots” or “I run Vortex binoculars”.

I got a pair of Granites a couple weeks ago. While my feet feel indestructible in them, compared to the Lowa Renegade GTX I've been wearing, I think they're overkill for the terrain I typically hunt in. I'm planning to return them for a pair of Beartooths.
I've got an Excalibur 3500B. It has 5 trays, so decent capacity for what I've used it for thus far (jerky and apple chips). Looking at the other Excalibur models, I do wish mine had a timer and clear door.
I've been using a Benchmade Grizzly Creek for the past few years. I thought it was sharp out of the box, but now I know better, after having it sharpened by a local bladesmith before hunting season last year. Even after processing my buck, it was still laser sharp! s30v steel is good stuff!

100% agree Re: the Vacmaster VP215. Also, 4-mil Vacmaster bags are my go-to, but if you're sealing anything with bones or a sharp edge, you may want to get some 5-mil bags, as well.
Zeiss Conquest also use Abbe-König prisms.
