What’s a fair price for loaded NL Pure 12x

I’d list for $3k. Just my 2 cents. I bought some used ones a while back for a bit less but didn’t come with all the stuff which adds up. Worst case drop it a bit. Will sell quick especially as season approaches.

    CO Mosquitos

I spent probably 60 days out last year from July-Oct (have a cabin at 9500’). I can count on about three weekends we had them and they were annoying. But nothing like anything on the east coast I’ve experienced. I’d just have some spray in case. They won’t be too bad.

    Deligent Defense LTi

I’ve been shooting my Scythe vs STi on a 20” 7wsm. I feel the STi is a tad quieter but really close. I feel on 6.5C they are even closer. For the 1” and 1oz weight penalty for the STi the Scythe is still really impressive and IMO the new benchmark for a hearing safe light/compact hunting...

Leupold Gold Ring 12-40x60 HD VS others

I had one for a few years. Liked everything except the very difficult to adjust zoom and focus. It was nearly impossible for me to stay on target and adjust either. I could have had a bad sample, I even sent it on but came back the same. I’ve compared a ton of spotters since then and...

    Mortgages

Concur “some” debt is not a bad thing. You can build wealth quicker leveraging other peoples money. But you have to be smart and run the numbers and be willing to accept the risk. Having $1M loan at 2% you should definitely not pay it down IF you think you can make more than 2% in other...

    6.5 PRC Regrets

You’re funny. And arrogant. But you probably knew that too. Read the article. If you load longer than SAAMI you can add more powder without pressure increases. Bryan Litz wrote it. He must be stupid too. In fact everyone who isn’t you must not know what’s up. Furthermore, as mentioned...

    Mortgages

Back to the OP and others (assuming younger but maybe aren’t) talking about a 20% down payment. You get 20% down funds by getting in the market (housing or other) to begin with. Taking the risk. It usually makes money. It becomes a bit of a snowball (like monopoly) where you buy a $300k...

    Mortgages

You don’t think inflation has gone down? Regardless of what the WH says??? Inflation is a rate, not a value. The rate has definitely decreased. Yes things are still expensive but that isn’t inflation, it’s the cause of previous inflation rates….. Unless there is a crash or crazy correction...

    6.5 PRC Regrets

Quick load and brass seem to disagree. But to each his own. You must be an expert in math if you understand pressures of longer than SAAMI rounds by just “guessing”. https://bergerbullets.com/effects-of-cartridge-over-all-length-coal-and-cartridge-base-to-ogive-cbto-part-1/

    6.5 PRC Regrets

Loaded long in a tikka (OAL ~2.98”). 143eldx. No pressure signs but didn’t work up any higher. Factory d18 barrel w/ 50 rounds down thus far.

Need a favor: Wildlife/habitat jobs near Boise

My brother is moving to Boise this month and leaving a job he loves working for a waterfowl association. I told him Boise should have some good wildlife jobs (thinking NWTF, RMEF, etc). His specialty is marketing and has been doing it for a while. The wildlife part of it is fairly new (4...

    Mortgages

I’m closing on my 6th in two weeks. Love real estate and since I move so much get to play with it a bit more than I’d planned. I’ve learned some things/developed some strategies over the last 20 years of doing it. 1) concur with avoid PMI if you can (VA or 20%). Also agree if it’s only a few...

    PRK yay or nay?

Had PRK in 2015. Was 20/10 for a while. 20/15 now. I’m military so only option they allowed at the time but glad I did it. I was about 20/80 un corrected so my reshaping wasn’t as severe and recovery was fast. No regrets.

Compact Binos for Eastern Turkey - Opinions Needed!

I have B3s and like them a lot. But if you’d agree the glass doesn’t have to be “great” for turkeys, I’d consider looking at Sig 8x32 RF (kilo 6k). I hunted turkeys with them last week and did great. Plus for archery I need RF anyway. And on top of that they are awesome for LR target...

    Cerekoted vs Stainless Tikka

My buddy did a full cerakote on the SS action and it lost a lot of its smoothness. Barrel and exterior maybe all day long but be cautious in internals. One data point.

Suppressors weight vs sound reduction help

I do own both and have for about 6 weeks. Shot them on a few different hosts. I have some videos in another thread (the scythe thread) on here but not sure the videos show the full story (what I hear real time vs the videos is a tad different). I shot all the cans I have (omega and DA LT as...

Suppressors weight vs sound reduction help

If this is the goal. Hearing safe and short/light as possible. I don’t think scythe can be beat based on my subjective opinion. I shot it on a short (20”) 7 wsm a few weeks back. It’s probably barely hearing safe on that (short barrel really ups the dbs). On a 6.5C it’s very quiet for...

Suppressors weight vs sound reduction help

I’d say get the Scythe or if you want a tad bit more suppression for min weight snag a DD STi. Have both. Both are great.

Talk me out of a Kodiak Canvas Tent

I have a 12x12 with the front awning. I’ve had it in 30mph winds and zero degree temps. The buddy heater does do a decent job. Stove keeps it real warm when it’s running hot. I’ve been impressed with mine. Also got a great deal on it so it’s honestly almost half the cost of the heavier tents. I...

The new Vortex Razor HD 13-39x56mm, The Mini Razor

I think most have seen my recap by now, but at least with the sample of razor I had, I’d disagree. https://www.rokslide.com/the-rokslide-members-giant-optics-review/ I do think focus was not as smooth, neither was zoom. But I had no issue getting it on target. When on target all it suffered...
