I use weighted inserts for a variety of reasons, the biggest being I believe all setups have a sweet spot for FOC, ( not more is better ) and I enjoy shooting a lot and tinkering with arrow builds is a fun off season way for me to get the most out of my setup.
If I could offer a friendly...
I prefer side mounted quiver so I run front stabs, and rear depending on the setup and how it shoots. The quivalizer is appealing due to weight, but I have used side mounted for so long my concern is breaking the habit of where my arrows are located for quick loads and follow up shots if needed.

Hello guys, I have recently acquired a like new Katera XL. However, the draw length is wrong for me. I have had this bow in the past and really like it so am looking to make it a shooter for me. I have a set of 5.5 and 6.5 cams I will offer in trade/part trade. Or will pay top dollar for them...
Great job Ross and Deep. Looks like alot of fun. It's getting pretty green, but still combing and have had a couple real fun days in the hills. Will post em up soon.
What you are shooting now will knock down anything you want to kill. But, The FMJ is a heavier arrow, and possibly more consistent as well. The down side to the FMJ is keeping your FOC up. Depending on what you are running for Vanes and nocks, you may want to consider increased weight up front...
Great pics!! Diggin this thread...keep em coming! Heres a few more rosies. A couple outings with the girls didnt turn up much for numbers but they both found their first horns so I was a proud dad:cool
Awesome pics GoNdeep! You guys dont make it easy not to dip into the hunting funds to get my butt eastside, or Idaho and Oregon backcountry for a shed trip.
Looks like alot of fun Ross..... love the pics. Someday I hope to get a canine companion, but for now I mostly roll solo. Had some good days for Rosies this year, but this was my best so far. My best Rosie set and some decent side dishes as well.
Looks like some great memories!! Let the countdown begin.... Cant wait to pick up the first of the season :) Heres a few Rosie sheds, and some "huntn" sheds.
