I'll throw a couple of things I've learned after owning a slide-in/bumper pull/ 5th wheel for the last 20 years.
1. The more comfortable it is the better the chances are your spouse will join you. How much room and how functional is the bathroom. I was ready to pull the trigger on a new 5th...
I have 3 full years on a set of Ryobi 2200 gens run in parallel. They easily run my 15K AC and I have had no problems with them. They cost about half of the Hondas do and this is one of the reasons I picked them, the other is they fit in a convenient space in my 5th Wheel. Sometimes a single...
I've used the military mukluck boots and have the mickey mouse boots which I really like for stationary hunting or fishing. If I am going to be moving at all in temps 10 degrees and below the Solomon Toundras are hard to beat. They are warm, light and have extremely good traction on ice and snow...
Excalibur 9 tray works great for me. It holds more then 2 of my Nescos and doesn't require tray rotation every couple of hours. Being square verses round I find it easier to shoot jerky and pepperoni sticks and makes packaging easier as well.
Mid to late season I go with a base layer, kryptek cerdic II hoody and my blaze orange fleece jacket. If it gets into the low 20's or below I'll add a FL Labrador vest. This year I added a Kifaru woobie for glassing and couldn't be happier. I didn't pull my puffy out once this year. I still...
I picked up a few Kifaru products this year and I am very impressed with all of them. The duplex is great but if I had to pick one item it would be my Woobie. I can't believe how versatile this thing is, I use it for pretty much every outdoor activity that I do. It is one of the best purchases...
Absolutely love my original woobie and looking to get another one. Just can't decide between the woobie or doobie, anyone have the new doobie? Kifaru site says it is now 6 oz/yard apex insulation which would make it pretty much the same at the arctic woobie wouldn't it?
I carry mine in my pack every time I go out. It has pretty replaced my puffy in sit and spot situations. I keep it in my truck and have used it during most of my kids soccer games, I'll have another by spring. One of the best pieces of equipment I have used.
Depending upon where you are at in Montana, Bob Wards is getting rid of all their Crispi boots. Really good deals if you can find your size. So far they have been the best boot I have ever owned.
