I planned on doing them both and then covid19 lead to me being laid off. Now my vacation time and everything is lost. Im looking at starting a new job in about 2 weeks but I doubt i have the time off needed to actually scout and hunt like I intended to do. If I stay on unemployment I have all...
I'm a nevada resident so odds are probably better for me to draw the utah tag again, although I've already spent $250 on muzzy supplies and the tag for out of state cost $268. My nevada tag dates are the mid season, October 17th-30th. Im sure it's equally crowded as the Wasatch hunt.
It looks like unit 10 holes 150"-170" bucks. The bigger bucks being in the ruby mountains(unit 101-103) Most of the outer laying units 150"-160"(units 104-109)
I have antlered mule deer tags in both mentioned hunt units. Im thinking ill only have time for one hunt this fall. Muzzleloader hunt in wasatch mountains west or rifle hunt in the ruby mountains unit 10. Given the knowledge of the hunters on this forum which hunt would you pick. Thanks for your...
Yeah im going to start my scouting around gilbert creek. See what the road situation looks like. Im sure ill drive up Lamiolle and take a look but I can imagine its going to be crowded opening morning.
I havent decided if I'm backpacking yet. Everyone is saying just get off the road a mile or two and it will be good enough to find bucks. I think after a scouting trip I'll decide if my best odds will be to stay out in the bush. Also I see your point about not sharing maps. I didn't think about...
I used GoHunt for draw odds. This was my first year ever applying for tags. I had no points. I drew a tag in Nevada and Utah. I call it all luck. Both states antlered mule
I drew a mule deer buck tag for unit 101-109 ruby mountains.Ive never been to this unit. I've been trying to read everything I can from other people's experiences. My season is late October. This is actually my first western big game hunt, just moved out west 3 years ago. I lived in Illinois the...
Great! Ive been chomping at the bit waiting thus far and still gotta keep waiting. Guess its better than getting told no. Im use to Illinois whitetail hunting where i run to Walmart and buy tags OTC. This draw setup has me all kinds of out of my element.
Does Utah send out emails if you do not get drawn? This is my first year applying to zero points and I doubt I get drawn. Just rather get confirmation rather than sitting here waiting for nothing.
