Yeah, I have had a similar experience to you and the OP. If you miss the normal caffeine intake window by too far ingesting it later isn't an "instant" fix and can take hours to feel more normal again.
It depends, keto flu and caffeine withdrawals both can last a week or so. We don't know the timeline so I think the odds of him feeling great are much lower than you think.
Because it's an easy $25 towards conservation whether you are right or wrong...

I disagree, while that can be a cause/contributor and something to be aware of, the ingestion of caffeine did cause his headache to go away so I would say that's the main driver.
Yeah man, don't cut the caffeine all at once or you'll be miserable. Honestly, when trying a new diet I wouldn't cut caffeine at all.
Caffeine pills is probably the simplest solution. Until they show up just get an energy drink or two to sip on or pre workout.
Playing a bit of devils advocate here but sometimes a sensor will keep you from grenadeing the whole trans. Not having having one may lead to excessive slipping/overheating it until kingdom come.
The LT 5500 weighs less than your 3600.... Probably a good move as previously suggested and it packs down plenty small enough.
A quilt would help also but they can be drafty. I have a ZenBivy, which takes care of that. Its incredible but not the smallest or lightest.
