A local Wyoming guy who took me in the back country back in ‘18 just told me to find a different place to hunt for a while. Said the weather and management isn’t helping the deer and elk. Hate to hear this being a Wa resident, not much to look forward to here.
Very nice, congrats to you both. Love that color on both those bears. I just can't seem to find one for the son in law, berries are just not worth a crap in our normal area. Hopefully it gets better.
I have the 07 grizzly, it's been a great ATV, the ride is still smooth and very reliable. When I do get a new one, I won't look at any other one. Of course Honda is also great.
28 years for me, but my biggest issue now is getting older. I love hunting by myself and relying on people sucks, but I just can not hike in as far and expect to get an elk out solo. You younger, hungry hunters, get your butts in the back country and live it up!! There will come a day when it...
Started a thread on another popular hunting site and thought I'd post here as well, pretty pumped that my wife and son in law both drew bull moose kettle range tags here in Wa. Scouted last weekend and saw a cow and a small bull missing half an antler, that might just save his life, from...
I had the opportunity to hunt in unit 62 with guys that packed me in 14 miles on horses, I'll never forget that experience, ever!! I'm from Washington state so I had no clue of the area, having those guys with the knowledge of the land, the elk and of grizzly bear awareness was priceless. Go...
Might apply this year for elk archery or muzzy, would be my first time applying in NM. with no points in NM I almost feel my odds are better there than here in my home state of WA.
Amazing, can’t imagine keeping my cool enough to use a bow! Just shot a bear two days ago in the blue mountains of wa and I was nervous at 384 yards, lol. Great bear this guy got!
Great info, thanks for the thread. The idea sounds perfect for me, except the possible 900 dollar investment! Guess I'll stick with sore feet. I bought some Asolo's about 3 years ago and they have been pretty good from the start, just this past year they are starting to hurt. I'm getting the...
Has anyone paid the 150 dollars to get your foot fitted? Seems like a lot of money but I do like the idea of a custom fit, I just wished they put the 150 towards a new pair. Thoughts??
I suspect more and more hunters dropping out as well due to price. Even in my home state of wa many of my friends here will be done with our own points game once they draw out. Including myself, 22 years of applying for quality elk is just stupid. Always, “maybe this is my lucky year”
