    WTS Kifaru Fleece Camo/Blaze panels

I assume, based on what I’ve owned in the past these fleece panels belong to a Kifaru Siwash... maybe the top is from a Spike Camp? My spike camp now doesn’t have any hook/loop on it. Best offer plush shipping just to get them out of the collection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    CO 1st Rifle

Just got back to IL... I actually called it on Monday but my buddies kept going. We were in 77 hunting the Weminuche. Talked to a few outfitters that knew of dead bulls but no one nearby had any luck. Ran into a guy at the hotel in Pagosa that had 2 or 3 down in his group but not sure what unit...

Packers and processors near Pagosa Springs CO

I used to have a handful of packer phone numbers but switched phones... I’ll check tonight. I’ll be looking for a trip report when you’re done, I’m rifle hunting 77 next month...

    Packing list feedback

I’m not prone to blisters, good socks and well fitting boots coupled with tough skin... I only have blisters if I make mistakes. That’s why I’m not opposed to removing the pair of socks. My boot decision will be the tough part, the Danners got wet a few years ago on an archery hunt and I...

    Packing list feedback

For the first two days or so in the past it has been enough... I’ve never actually done the work to split them, in the past I’ve wasted a lot of left over food. Trying to find the happy medium on this one...

    Packing list feedback

Seems like I can’t be too far off the mark... ditch a pair of socks, leave the saw at the truck, validate calories, lighten my caffeine resource... Anything else I could cut or should add?

    Packing list feedback

The pre-workouts I’ve used in the past really gave me some shakes. I’ve got some caffeine gum to try too, that may be a good mix and the coffee as backup. I have it and the bullion as a warm me up drink. Calorie wise I’ve always carried too much food, always. I’m really trying to cut it back...

    Packing list feedback

Good points... I use MSR tabs... glad you pointed that out. Two cans, max or 6 days in on fuel. I have poles cut have not taken them in the past... they’ve stayed in the truck but maybe something new this time... and leaving the saw for the return trip is good too, we aren’t taking the 8 man and...

    Packing list feedback

So about that... I’m 5,000 miles from all that gear right now and will have about 3 or 4 weeks to really nail down my gear after I get home. It’s not much of a change from a few years ago which landed me around 44 lbs.

    Packing list feedback

    Bugling updates?

I just left 77. Long story, short version is I was there for two days, needed to be home instead.saw several muleys low, nothing up high... Best muley I saw was along 160 headed east somewhere between Wolf Creek and La Veta passes. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Bugling updates?

Heard a little bugling between 6-7 p.m. last night. At that point, the elevation gain from IL to 10,600 had kicked my ass and I was already in bed. Nothing this morning but mule deer so far. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    UA Ridge Reaper?

I can't compare them as I don't own any of any of them. Or even much of the UA but I love the RR Barren pattern. I have a hoodie and a beanie and I don't go into the woods without them. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Thin gloves

You guys are reminding me... I was in Japan for a .mil exercise 8-9 years ago and bought Japanese army glove liners. They are like a Merino/Lycra/Spandex mix of some kind that is effing awesome! Warm, extremely light... I just can't find anything like them here and don't have any friends on a...

    Looking for opinions... Puffy jacket

Okay folks. I'm a cheap bastard... I like to buy one thing that will suit multiple uses. Not like a multi tool, but like, one pack to use for work (military), hiking and hunting, and then buy a really good one.... Where I have a pseudo shortfall is in an insulative layer jacket. I have a very...

    Gear Test

I use a Static V too now, the price point was right through sportsmansguide when I was shopping. I am interested in the pillow though, wanted to toss out a pointer, I have found that a few daubs of silnet seam sealer on pads helps them not slip and slide. I use a windshield reflector with most...

    Any male models???

Just remember, cooking bacon is not an activity to accomplish in the nude. I have followed this one since inception and keep coming back to read it. Whomever compared posting this to asking in the locker room is spot on but no different than many conversations I have recently heard in locker...
