    Dropping pack to stalk...

I've been using the EXO 1800. Strikes the balance very well between being a great functional day pack and a mean meat hauler

I'm just messing around, it's classic rokslide, I'm used to it and I am sure I have participated in it ha ha

    Dropping pack to stalk...

lol sounds worse than it is. I only run 8x binos and everything else is pretty small. I've got the FHF FOB harness and it has plenty of storage and mounting options. All I add is the GP pouch underneath and that holds my knife, sawyer mini, and tourniquet. Everything else easily fits on the...

    Dropping pack to stalk...

Thanks all for so many stories and feedback. This has helped me think through the options a ton as I prep for this season. Long story short, I'm going to focus on: Leaving more at camp. Getting more thoughtful on what I have in my pack. Getting reflective flagging tape and only dropping my...

    Best Podcast series for beginners.

Hey friends! A friend of mine is very curious about elk hunting and interested in some good content to help him get his feet underneath him prior to his first season in the field. I listen to a ton of podcasts on Elk Hunt, but I cannot think of a Podcast series that would be the best to give to...

    Perfect pack for elk

^ great feedback. Takes the pressure off a little bit and lets you build confidence and hopefully find areas that are worth spending ten days in. (Spoiler alert: not a ton) +100 on Exo

How many inReach Units are needed for a group of hunters?

My perspective is that it is entirely pending the factors of your hunt. Will you be sticking together running ridges?Spot and stalk from the truck (😐) Will you split up and drop into hell holes individually looking for sign? Age and fitness of the group members? The two big questions I ask...

I like the reflective tape. I just use flagging now, but reflective flagging is an awesome idea. Easier to find in the dark.

    Dropping pack to stalk...

I like this idea a lot. I'm going to experiment with how I can drop the K3 bag on the exo.

    Dropping pack to stalk...

No, I've been taking all that stuff, just very inefficiently ha ha. It's been a mix of my pockets and my bino harness.

    Dropping pack to stalk...

Hey everyone - not looking to have a discussion on if you should ever drop your pack or not. I've gotten pretty disciplined on how I mark my back when I drop it and I'm comfortable with that. Where we hunt it is a lot of running ridges and then bailing into super shitty and vertical hell...
