    Firsthand info on SEVR

I’ve used SEVR 1.5’s for several years now and I like them. They fly great and do their job well. I recommend them to anyone. I have considered trying Rage due to poor blood trails but I like how a SEVR pivots when it encounters a hard object like a rib.

I’m still offshore until the 16th so I’ll be late to the party. Look forward to slinging some arrows.

I’m a Kubota man. I will say go ahead and buy the commercial grade deck. As mentioned, Kubota does %0 interest for 4 years.

I may have trashed my bow today!

I did a self diagnosis. I am planning to take it to a bow shop to have them look everything over though when I get time.

I may have trashed my bow today!

I was out in the yard shooting today when my D loop broke and I punched myself square in the nose. My bow went flying and slammed on the concrete. It looks like everything will function fine but my it landed on my lower cam and is roughed up a good bit. One of my top limbs is scratched up too...

    Podcast topics

Not a tip so may not fit in “Tipsy Tuesday” but I’d be interested in hearing a podcast where you interview average roksliders and they tell some of their better hunting stories and give them a chance to talk about their own experiences, tactics, and gear. If this has been done already I...

Mayhem Hunt (Rich Froning)- Train for the Pursuit

I just saw where CrossFit Mayhem was going to release their programming for hunters. There is a few a sneak peak videos on YouTube and it looks pretty intense. I’ve been doing MTNTOUGH programs for several years now and have been really happy but I’m not going to lie, I’m curious to see what...

If I have told you earthly things…

“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down...

    Kid on an Extended Hunt

I’ve got more than one kid, who has a lot going on back home. My wife has gone with me several times before and my in-laws kept the kids, however this year my father-in-law is going hunting in some of his old spots and is planning on staying gone the entire month of Sept, so my mother-in- law is...

    Kid on an Extended Hunt

These are all things I’ve thought about which is why I’m hesitant to bring him. It just kills me because he’s been begging me. I’ll do a lot of praying and thinking about it between now and then and just see where it lands.

    Kid on an Extended Hunt

So I decided I’m going to take him to Colorado’s Total Archery Challenge for 2 days and see how well he handles that. Hopefully it lights a fire in him (he did ask to shoot there and asks me every year to go hunting) and if that’s the case, I’ll take him with a plan to get him home if he wants...

    Kid on an Extended Hunt

We’ve done lots of trips like that and he does fine. I’m more worried that after 5 days, he’ll get bored or get home sick. I don’t live in a western state, so it could really foul things up.

    Kid on an Extended Hunt

Does anyone have experience bringing their kid on an extended backpack style hunt? I’m wanting to bring my 7 year old boy on this year’s elk hunt. I normally go for +/- 10 days. It’d be quite the challenge for him but I feel confident he can do it. I’m curious if anyone else has tried and how...
